Jamahl K. Hines is a lifelong learner and dedicated professional educator with extensive experience in secondary school leadership, instructional improvement, and organizational leadership. Over the course of his career, he has served in a variety of impactful roles in education, including school administration and as Special Assistant to the Provost at Central Connecticut State University, where he gained valuable insight into higher education leadership and institutional strategy. Hines is widely recognized for his student-centered leadership philosophy and his commitment to strengthening school culture, increasing academic rigor, and fostering inclusive learning environments. His work has earned numerous honors and recognitions, including the Farmington High School Golden Apple Award, the Connecticut Education Association’s ABCD (Above and Beyond the Call of Duty) Award, and the 2021–2022 Connecticut Assistant Principal of the Year Award. In recognition of his broader community impact, he was also named one of the 100 Men of Color: Most Influential Black Men in Connecticut – Class of 2017. These accolades reflect his dedication to service, leadership, and educational excellence. In addition to his work in schools and higher education, Hines is the founder of LoJ Consulting LLC, an organization focused on leadership development, educational consulting, and strategic support for schools and organizations seeking to strengthen outcomes for students and communities. Through his work as an educator, leader, and consultant, Hines remains committed to lifelong learning and to empowering individuals and institutions to grow, innovate, and lead with purpose.
