Sonja Williams, MA, LPCA, is a licensed professional counselor associate with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Saint Joseph. She is dedicated to supporting adults as they navigate emotional challenges, overcome life’s obstacles, and enhance their overall well-being. Sonja’s therapeutic approach is grounded in a Rogerian, person-centered framework that honors each individual’s inherent capacity for growth and positive change. She believes meaningful healing occurs within a safe, supportive, and authentic therapeutic relationship. Through this collaborative process, Sonja helps clients develop practical tools to manage stress, regulate emotions, and cultivate greater calm and balance in their lives. Bringing both professional expertise and heartfelt compassion to her work, Sonja has extensive experience supporting survivors of physical, sexual, and verbal abuse. This work has deepened her empathy and strengthened her commitment to helping individuals heal, rebuild resilience, and reclaim their sense of self. Sonja integrates evidence-based modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy—to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. She is currently accepting clients ages 18 and older and welcomes individuals seeking support in developing emotional resilience, self-awareness, and personal growth.
