After receiving her Bachelor’s in Social Work with a minor in Sociology. Keya Carter obtained her Masters Degree in Social Work through an accelerated 1 year intensive program at Fordham University. She has since used her skills to support populations experiencing the intersection between environmental stressors such as poverty and mental health concerns.

 

Above all Keya utilizes a client centered approach while working with children, teens, and adults. This allows clients to have a collaborative hand in their objectives, goals, and treatment styles. Additionally, Keya utilizes a multi-modality approach involving Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, And Solution focused care to support client’s in ways that are tailored to their needs.

 

Using an eclectic approach allows Keya to support clients with multiple needs and concerns simultaneously including ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and Substance Use Disorders. Clients can expect to be heard, guided, and supported as they build coping skills, delve into trauma, and build deep intricate understanding of themselves.
