Antoinette Allen obtained her Master of Social Work degree from New York University, Silver School of Social Work, and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Albertus Magnus College. She has been in the field of human services for over 15 years and has served in the field of social work for over five years. As such she has worked with a diverse population of children, adolescents, and adults in all aspects and walks of life. Antoinette also has experience working in residential homes for at-risk adolescents, adults, and children in crisis.
Antoinette is passionate about her work with individuals and believes that providing a positive and non-judgmental environment, encouragement, support, and a safe space is essential to the well-being and healing of an individual.
In today’s society, many people are dealing with situations that impact their lives and make them feel unbalanced, trapped, lost, and out of control. Antoinette firmly believes that there are ways to navigate these situations so they do not hinder anyone from being who they are meant to be. As a therapist, Antoinette’s goal is to assist individuals in gaining insight and balance while taking back control of their lives and mental health.
Antoinette’s tools on this journey to wholeness include therapeutic techniques such as, Person-centered Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Intervention, and Motivational Interviewing.
